Telepizza Opens its First Three Stores in Saudi Arabia

The result of the master franchise agreement with the Al Bayan Holding Group, one of the country's largest business groups 

  • The openings form part of the company's growth strategy in the country, where it anticipates opening up a hundred stores over the next ten years
  • Telepizza aims to become market leader for pizza delivery business in Saudi Arabia, whose market value in 2016 is estimated by Euromonitor to be 1.3 billion euros and has growth prospects of 6% over the next five years.   

Telepizza announces the opening of its first three stores in Saudi Arabia, located in the country's capital, Riyadh.

The stores are the first of the hundred the company expects to open up in the country over the next ten years and are three of the five that will serve the public in Riyadh in the coming months. Subsequently, the brand will be present in the west (Jeddah) and the eastern areas of the country.

Telepizza's expansion into Saudi Arabia is the result of the master franchise agreement with its strategic partner in the region, Emtyaz Catering Company, the subsidiary company of the Al Bayan Holding Group and one of the country's principal business groups. It holds interests in a number of companies in sectors like food and drinks as well as the property development and construction market.

Telepizza's international strategy is focused on growth in markets where it is currently operating, exploring new business opportunities, and entering new markets, either organically, through acquisitions of local companies or via master franchises.

Currently, the company is present in 15 countries and its sales outside Spain exceed 30% of the total.

CTFE, a world-class developer with immense experience in global hospitality and mixed-use development, has applied to the Government of The Bahamas for approval as a proposed investor and acquirer of the Baha Mar Resort, by way of acquisition of Perfect Luck Assets Limited (Perfect Luck), the company to which certain assets of the Baha Mar Resort have been transferred.

3rd New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival 2016 Open Nov. 3-6

CHITOSE, Japan, Oct. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- An international animation movie festival conducted in its entirety in an airport compound, the Chitose Airport International Animation Festival 2016, the third in a series, will be held Nov. 3-6, 2016. It is a truly international festival of animation authors, both foreign and domestic, and fans who will communicate with one another using animation, an internationally common culture, shown at three airport theaters.

A major pillar of the animation festival, its international competition will screen 45 works from 22 countries, which passed the elimination round of 1,232 works from 66 countries, an increase of about 130 works from last year's competition.

In addition to the competition screenings, special programs will also be shown. As a curtain-raiser of the 2016 festival, "In This Corner of the World" by director Sunao Katabuchi, who will be present at the screening, will be shown in a preview. Then, "KING OF PRISM by Pretty Rhythm" will be shown in collaboration with "Bakuon (extremely loud) Screening" featuring the full blast of dynamic sound generated by concert gear, as used in every festival in the past. It is the first attempt of a "Ouen (cheering up) screening" for getting people pumped up for creating a "Cosplay? OK! Cheering? OK! Live dubbing? OK!" kind of togetherness atmosphere.

"TIGER & BUNNY: The Rising" will also be shown in collaboration with loud cheering and Bakuon screening. Other animation movies shown in Bakuon Screening will include "Paprika" by director Satoshi Kon and "Alice" by director Jan Svankmajer.

Kicking off a new attempt at the festival titled "Listening to the Sound of Animation, Vol. 1," "The Wind Rises" by director Hayao Miyazaki will be screened after tuning up its sound to studio quality, to be followed by a talk between Kouji Kasamatsu, the movie's sound director, and Tamaki Kojo, Studio Ghibli's line producer.

Wuyuan's Shicheng Village Sets Up New Routes for Visitors as Fall Foliage Reaches Peak Season

WUYUAN, China, Oct. 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- To present visitors a better viewing experience this year, Jiangxi Wuyuan Tourism Co., Ltd. has been renovating the walking trails around Shicheng Village, one of the prime viewing locations of maple leaves in Wuyuan County China as the peak season of this year's fall foliage is expected to arrive in early November.

The route is designed to broaden the existing paths and connect people to more viewing and photo opportunities. New observation decks have been built in open areas and old ones repaired and secured as the bright yet brief fall colors begin to splash on the mountains and valleys of Shicheng Village.

Shicheng, which translates into "stone city" for its rock walls at the entrance of the village, is best known for its ancient Hui-style architecture, mysterious fog and hundreds of tall maple trees. The elegant black and white houses unevenly dotted over the hills also add to the unique scenery that blends together the peace of country life and the serenity of the landscape.

A recommended location for appreciating the fall foliage is the 10-kilometer-long old post road on the east side of Shicheng Village, as the bluish grey quartzite-paved road nicely contrasts the radiant maple forests on both sides.

3rd New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival 2016 Open Nov. 3-6

CHITOSE, Japan, Oct. 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- An international animation movie festival conducted in its entirety in an airport compound, the Chitose Airport International Animation Festival 2016, the third in a series, will be held Nov. 3-6, 2016. It is a truly international festival of animation authors, both foreign and domestic, and fans who will communicate with one another using animation, an internationally common culture, shown at three airport theaters.

A major pillar of the animation festival, its international competition will screen 45 works from 22 countries, which passed the elimination round of 1,232 works from 66 countries, an increase of about 130 works from last year's competition.

In addition to the competition screenings, special programs will also be shown. As a curtain-raiser of the 2016 festival, "In This Corner of the World" by director Sunao Katabuchi, who will be present at the screening, will be shown in a preview. Then, "KING OF PRISM by Pretty Rhythm" will be shown in collaboration with "Bakuon (extremely loud) Screening" featuring the full blast of dynamic sound generated by concert gear, as used in every festival in the past. It is the first attempt of a "Ouen (cheering up) screening" for getting people pumped up for creating a "Cosplay? OK! Cheering? OK! Live dubbing? OK!" kind of togetherness atmosphere.

"TIGER & BUNNY: The Rising" will also be shown in collaboration with loud cheering and Bakuon screening. Other animation movies shown in Bakuon Screening will include "Paprika" by director Satoshi Kon and "Alice" by director Jan Svankmajer.

Kicking off a new attempt at the festival titled "Listening to the Sound of Animation, Vol. 1," "The Wind Rises" by director Hayao Miyazaki will be screened after tuning up its sound to studio quality, to be followed by a talk between Kouji Kasamatsu, the movie's sound director, and Tamaki Kojo, Studio Ghibli's line producer.

Also during the animation festival, there will be "AC Bu + group_inou Music Animation Live," a collaboration of live music and animation VJ performance, and "How Do You Like Wednesday? Returns," a talk session between WIT STUDIO that produced the animation in a book of this popular TV program and two TV producers, Tadahisa Fujimura and Masamichi Ureshino.

Moreover, in the Center Plaza, the main event space on the second floor of the domestic terminal building, there will be a rich assortment of events including exhibitions related to "One Piece Film: Gold," "How Do You Like Wednesday? Returns" and "TIGER & BUNNY: The Rising" as well as a talk show by Hiroaki Hirata performing one of the key roles, "Kotetsu T. Kaburagi," in the TIGER & BUNNY movie.

Unidas and Enterprise Holdings – which owns the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands – became franchise partners in 2012. For the past four years, Unidas has been operating National and Alamo locations in airport and city locations throughout Brazil.

Once the transaction is completed later this year, Enterprise Holdings will hold a 20 percent stake in Unidas and have a seat on the company's board of directors. The transaction also extends Unidas' Master Franchise Agreement until 2031. 10th UNWTO/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook Commenced in Guilin, China

GUILIN, China, Oct. 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and the People's Government of Guilin of China celebrated between 20-22 October the 10th anniversary of the UNWTO/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook. The theme of the forum was 'Tourism 10:10 - Looking back to look forward'.

With the collaboration of Polytechnic University of Hong-Kong, a UNWTO Affiliate Member, the Forum has become a conversation platform for policy makers, senior government members and representatives of the travel industry in the North-East Asian subregion. This has been the 10th year that the Forum was held in Guilin, China.
